Pay Rate: up to $64.19/hr on w2 (No C2C or 3rd parties)
Location: onsite in Hayward, CA
- Helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Program Manager, Lean Manufacturing to support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- In this role, you’ll partner with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes, analyze operational performance, and help develop and sustain the Production System. You'll work closely with operations leaders to drive standardization, strengthen problem-solving capabilities, and support a culture of continuous improvement.
- The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver with a strong background in lean manufacturing, process improvement, and cross-functional program management.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including General Assembly, Manufacturing Execution, Quality, and Logistics, to drive continuous process improvement.
- Identify process inefficiencies, conduct gap analyses, and develop current-state and future-state process maps.
- Observe manufacturing operations to identify waste, reduce variability, and improve process standardization.
- Lead workshops and training sessions to implement new processes, tools, and lean manufacturing best practices.
- Support the implementation, sustainment, and continuous improvement of the Production System (ZPS) through coaching, auditing, and hands‑on engagement.
- Coach operations teams on lean principles, including standard work, 5S, waste elimination, and structured problem‑solving methodologies.
- Develop operational standards, documentation, and performance metrics that support manufacturing excellence.
- Create dashboards and reports that provide visibility into operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or a related industry.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience working within or developing production systems in an OEM manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Proven experience leading cross‑functional initiatives and driving operational improvements.
- Certifications in Project Management, Lean, or Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher preferred).
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Familiarity with data and analytics tools such as SQL, Smartsheet, Databricks, or Looker.
