PAY:
The pay scale for this position is $34.50 - $38.24. If you are hired, your base pay rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
SHIFT:
Monday through Friday – 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Potential overtime based on business needs)
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand the specifications for each job.
- Program for CNC machining center using Inventor and Solid Works software.
- Program for CNC plate burning machines using AutoCAD and other related software.
- Assist sales in the creation of quotes.
- Create effective programs that are time and cost efficient.
- Plan appropriately to optimize the nest (cut the most possible pieces from a plate).
- Establish tool inventory for machining center.
- Participate in the inspection process for machined parts.
- Establish and maintain production schedule for CNC Machining Center.
- Actively involved in branch Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Entry level position, recent Engineering or Engineering Technician graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Post-Secondary Education in Engineering or Engineering Technician preferred.
- Able to read, modify and create drawings in AutoCAD.
- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
- Clear written and oral communication.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a team environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Exposure to AS400 or other ERP systems an asset.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience or exposure to CNC programming.
- Experience in Pro Nest, Prime Cut, Inventor and Solid Works is considered an asset.
- Familiar with HAAS CNC Vertical Machining Centers an asset.
- The CAD Programmer role is primarily sedentary, involving long periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation. However, occasional physical activity, such as moving equipment or materials, may be required.
