Electrical Technician
This role focuses on inspecting and reworking defective automotive materials, with a strong emphasis on electrical assembly and disassembly of automotive and aerospace wire harnesses. You will use measuring tools such as multimeters to test for continuity across pins, perform detailed rework of mechanical assemblies, and ensure that electrical components meet quality and performance standards.
Responsibilities- Work with defective automotive materials that require inspection and rework to meet quality standards.
- Perform electrical assembly and disassembly of automotive and aerospace wire harnesses.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand wiring layouts, connector configurations, and assembly requirements.
- De-pin and re-pin electrical connectors accurately and efficiently.
- Solder and splice wires to repair or modify electrical harnesses and connections.
- Use multimeters to test for continuity across pins and verify electrical integrity.
- Operate a variety of measuring tools and hand tools to perform precise electrical and mechanical work.
- Rework mechanical assemblies associated with wire harnesses and related components.
- Follow established procedures and quality standards to ensure error-free production support.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and support continuous improvement in the repair and rework process.
- Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience as an electrical technician, which may include co-op or internship experience.
- Proficiency in electrical assembly and disassembly of automotive and/or aerospace wire harnesses.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with wiring tasks including soldering and crimping.
- Experience de-pinning and re-pinning electrical connectors.
- Ability to use multimeters to test continuity and perform basic electrical diagnostics.
- Competence in using measuring tools and standard hand tools for electrical and mechanical work.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise, quality-focused rework.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience working with automotive, aerospace, or heavy transportation components.
- Familiarity with rework of mechanical assemblies related to electrical systems.
- Comfort working in a production-support or manufacturing-support environment.
- Interest in quality-focused roles such as inspection, consulting, or team leadership.
- Willingness to learn and grow into more advanced roles within a larger organizational structure.

WorkEnvironment
You will work in a professional environment that supports large manufacturing operations in the automotive, aerospace, and heavy transportation sectors. The role operates on a 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM schedule from Monday to Friday. You will regularly use multimeters, measuring tools, and hand tools to perform electrical and mechanical rework on wire harnesses and related components. The work supports corrective and preventive quality actions to help maintain smooth, error-free production processes.

This is a Contract position based out of Hayward, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
