Manufacturing Maintenance TechnicianLocation:
Hayward CA
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, with possible overtime Initial hours: 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Future schedule:
May transition to a swing shift, possibly 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. Pay Rate: $22.50hr
We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background and experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests to minimize production downtime.
- Replace worn parts and assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
- Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs.
- Document maintenance activities and work orders in a CMMS;
Maximo experience is preferred. - Maintain spare-parts inventory.
- Follow GMP/cGMP, SOP, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, and other safety procedures.
- Participate in continuous-improvement projects and root-cause analysis.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of manufacturing, equipment, or facilities maintenance experience.
- Mechanical background and knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with PLCs, motors, drives, HVAC, pumps, compressors, or automated equipment preferred.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Basic computer skills;
Maximo or other CMMS experience preferred. - Ability to work in a clean-room environment and wear required PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform climbing, bending, kneeling, and other physical tasks.
