This nursing opportunity focuses on caring for patients requiring specialized gastroenterology treatments, particularly complex ERCP procedures. As a registered nurse in a step-down environment, your expertise in managing and coordinating patient care will be essential. This contract role offers a structured day shift schedule that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage comprehensive nursing care for GI patients from admission through discharge, ensuring comfort, safety, and effective treatment delivery
• Apply nursing process principles to coordinate treatments, medications, and emergency interventions efficiently
• Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and families
• Monitor patient status closely and adjust care plans as needed using clinical judgment and critical thinking
• Act as a vital liaison between nursing and medical staff to facilitate seamless care
• Participate in every other weekend shifts and be available on-call as needed

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current California RN license, ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, with at least 6 months in a traveler role preferred
• Demonstrated background in complex gastroenterology procedures including ERCP
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Schedule:

• 4x10 hour day shifts, 07:00 - 17:00
• Every other weekend availability
• On-call as required
