Critical Care Registered Nurse - Hayward, California

An opportunity awaits for an experienced RN with a strong background in the Intensive Care Unit. This contract position centers on delivering exceptional care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Schedule & Hours:

• Night shifts: 4x8-Hour (23:00 - 07:30)
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to other units as needed

Qualifications:

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS (AHA) certification
• ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Minimum 3 years of ICU nursing experience (4 years preferred)
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic setting and provide calm, compassionate care in high-pressure situations

Role Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess the evolving needs of critically ill adults in the ICU, responding swiftly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, manage ventilators, and execute complex care plans in alignment with best practices and facility protocols
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff to deliver cohesive care
• Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, offering emotional support and clarity during challenging situations
• Comply with all regulatory, safety, and infection prevention requirements, maintaining a safe environment for patients and team members
• Flexibly float to other care units as needed based on facility needs
