Job Summary
Full‑time (0.9 FTE) position with shift offsets: TUES/ WED/ SAT/ SUN/ MON/ THURS. Approximate pay range $60.64 - $90.22 per hour. The nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during a designated timeframe, providing care consistent with St. Rose Hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision the nurse performs the following nursing process functions:
- Assessment – systematic assessment and data collection focusing on physiological, cultural, psychological, spiritual, and cognitive status of the patient.
- Planning – evaluates, develops, and prioritizes an individualized, goal‑directed plan of care based on nursing diagnosis, patient needs, and standards of care.
- Implementation – provides safe therapeutic care in a knowledgeable, skillful, continuous manner, involving the entire health‑care team; demonstrates competence in caring for pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients when assigned.
- Evaluation – assesses and evaluates the patient’s plan of care and teaching needs, documents effectiveness, and revises plans as needed.

- Confidentiality and legal issues – demonstrates awareness of legal issues and patient rights.
- Professional accountability – maintains current California licensure and service‑specific certifications, adheres to the Nurse Practice Act and hospital standards of care.
- Leadership and problem solving – supervises and delegates care to team members, promotes professional growth and positive learning experiences.
- Knowledge base and technical skills – demonstrates sound knowledge base and actions within patient care using hospital and service‑specific standards of care.
- Working relationships – formulates and uses effective relationships with all health‑care team members, patients, and significant others.
- Communication – effective communication skills, utilizes lines of authority appropriately, performs clerical and computer entry functions when needed.
- Other duties – performs other job‑related duties as assigned by the Clinical Nurse Supervisor/Manager.
- License/Certification – Current California RN License required;
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required. - Education – Nursing graduate (proof required at time of hire).
- Experience – Two years of ICU experience preferred; minimum 1 year overall experience.
