We are currently hiring a Quality Assurance Technician for a premier Bakery located in the Hayward, CA area.

Job Title:

QA Technician

Pay Rate: $23.50 per hour

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

6:00AM - 2:30PM

MUST be available to work OT and weekends and be flexible with start and end times.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs inspection and testing activities through stages of manufacturing process to ensure that company, customer and regulatory standards are met. Enforce and monitor current company GMP and HACCP requirements and company policies and procedures. Follow through with correction of deficiencies. Reviews production records to ensure accuracy and completeness on a daily basis; correct deviations in a timely manner to minimize loss and avoid non-compliance products from being shipped.

Conduct and perform training activities related to food quality and food safety (i.e., HACCP, GMPs, Allergen). Assists in training, development and supervision of new and existing QA staff. Assists in training of Managerial staff and line workers in food safety, quality assurance theory and practice, processes and procedures.

Audits quality of raw material and tracks supplier performance. Issues requests for corrective actions for supplier-related incidents. Performs calibration of weighing scales, thermometers, and QA instruments.

Job Requirements:

1+ years QA experience in food industry Knowledge of food industry regulatory requirements such as HACCP, allergen control, pest control, sanitation, food security, good laboratory practices. Decision Quality:
Demonstrate skill in judgment and sound decision-making

Must be fluent in speaking and writing English. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
