Store Associate – Donation Center (Full‑time)

Pay Range:
Minimum $17.79 per hour
As a member of the store team, you will provide exceptional customer service and promote sales for Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay. You will receive donations, label and arrange items, ensure donor receipts, and support customers with loading/unloading. You will also maintain retail store appearance, perform safety inspections, and cross‑train for other logistics roles.
Responsibilities- Receive all donations in an expedient, courteous manner and place items in the appropriate location.
- Accept all donations from customers while providing outstanding customer service.
- Label Gaylords correctly.
- Offer receipts to each donor regardless of donation size.
- Identify potential hazardous products and provide disposal location guidance.
- Write sales tickets and manufacture sold signs for furniture, electrical, and other large items.
- Assist customers with loading and unloading furniture and other items to/from vehicles.
- Maintain placement of all merchandise and organization of the production room by following PPM standards.
- Assist in loading/unloading of merchandise onto/off trucks or trailers, as needed.
- Safely operate pallet jack and walkie stacker.
- Conduct daily safety inspections on all company‑owned equipment, including walkie stackers.
- Ensure all safety rules are followed and appropriate safety equipment is used.
- Perform floor‑care duties at the retail store as needed.
- Cross‑train in other store positions as business needs.
- Maintain regular and consistent in‑person attendance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to pass a forklift certification class.
- Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable.
