As a part‑time associate, you will report to the Store Manager and carry out management‑assigned duties, including receiving inventory, stocking store sections, operating a cash register, providing services, and maintaining cleanliness.

• Maintain assigned store section and may order, receive, and stock merchandise using proper equipment.
• Ensure proper pricing, check product date codes, stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases.
• Prepare perishable products for sale and set up advertising and promotional displays.
• Review invoices and bills for accuracy.
• Maintain sanitation standards in interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot.
• Operate a cash register, receive payment from customers, make change, process checks, credit, or debit transactions, and process refunds when approved by management.
• Verify customer eligibility when selling alcoholic beverages.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers.
• Assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties and record lost or damaged goods and store supplies.

• Read and write English; interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, price codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Effectively present information one‑to‑one and in small groups.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
