Overview
Physical Security Program Manager, DC Security Amer-West. AWS Infrastructure Physical Security team is looking for a Physical Security System Project Manager and Technology Expert to lead physical security projects. This position will manage data center physical security systems and projects, interpret Threat Assessments and AWS Physical Security Standards to assure proper security mitigations, and collaborate with AWS architectural and engineering teams to meet high physical security standards.
After implementation, ensure local security teams have the technical knowledge and resources necessary to meet the physical security mission.
Considered candidates should be at least 18 years old. As this is a Gov Cloud region, selected candidate requires US Citizenship or equivalent status. Effective May 15, 2017, logical access to the AWS Gov Cloud region will be restricted to Amazon employees who are U.S. Citizens. Gov Cloud may NOT be accessed from outside of the United States.
Key responsibilities- Manage installation of approved physical security system hardware, including access control devices, intrusion detection devices, CCTV, and other components of physical security systems.
- Design physical security systems for new construction, expansions, and retrofit projects.
- Prepare security design standards, typical drawings, and technical specification documents for projects for pricing by approved vendors.
- Review and provide quality assurance of vendor quotes. Submit complete and accurate vendor quote packages to the Infrastructure Technical Project Manager for inclusion in project requisitions.
- Manage multiple, concurrent security system installation projects and vendors.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert for physical security system testing and acceptance, and assure operational readiness at project completion.
- Prepare and archive project close-out documentation.
- Report vendor performance metrics regarding system installation, service delivery, and equipment availability / reliability.
- 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors
- Travel up to 25% of the time
- 2+ years’ experience in physical security project management
- Bachelor s degree or above
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite
- Experience with design, implementation, support, and evaluation of security-focused tools and services
- Experience managing contract security and physical security operation programs such as Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems
- Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing tasks for multiple projects
- PSP, CPP, PMP Certification

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
