Service Technician - Location:

Onsite
Responsible for providing start-up, warranty, preventive maintenance and repair of chillers, cooling towers, heat pumps, and related equipment. Identity and/or repair replacement needs; provide necessary information on the proper uses of the equipment, and assisting in other skilled trades as required.
Technical
- Perform equipment startup, warranty, preventive maintenance, and repair by verifying equipment is installed, programmed and operating to manufacturer's Installation & Operation Manuals (IOM's) and published specifications.
- Equipment includes but is not limited to all the equipment on CHC's line card: pumps, boilers, water heaters, Flow Therm package systems, chillers, cooling towers, heat pumps, and VFD's.
- Set-up communications between equipment and troubleshoot interface with Building Management Systems.
- Add manufacturer recommended hardware components in the field when needed.
- Perform wiring or rewiring between electrical panels and CHC equipment as required.
- Provide feedback to Sales and Management of other billable service opportunities at customer sites.
- Follow all OSHA, NFPA, Local, CHC and site-specific Safety requirements and training.
- Train and mentor less senior technicians as needed.
- Update equipment system software as required.
- Troubleshoot systems utilizing diagnostic tools such as data loggers, multi-meters, process meters, laser alignment tools, and combustion analyzers.
- Keep up to date on the equipment on CHC's line card.
- Provide start-up, operating, and maintenance training for the customer, and/or technical direction.
- Attend factory schools, virtual or in person, for training as assigned.
- Pursue additional formal education as needed, and reimbursed (per handbook) by, CHC.
- Provide telephone support for start-up and troubleshooting.
- Present a professional, positive, and helpful attitude always when with customers and co-workers. Exhibit an understanding of human relations and functions as a "team player".
- Observe additional maintenance needs requiring attention and report those to the appropriate supervisor and a recommendation of necessary/needed replacement parts/equipment.

- Responsible for maintaining inventory and required maintenance of issued tools and equipment.

- Based upon business needs, you may be required to work overtime.
- Adhere to company policy regarding rest and meal breaks.
- If necessary, ability to work out- of- town and stay overnight to complete work.
- Maintain company vehicle by following the vehicle manufacturer's suggested maintenance intervals.
