Job Details DescriptionInsulation workers install and replace the materials used to insulate buildings or mechanical systems.
Work EnvironmentInsulators generally work indoors. Mechanical insulators work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in extreme temperatures. They spend most of their workday standing, bending, or kneeling, often in confined spaces.
NOTE:
In the San Francisco Bay area wages range from $32.46 per hour for entry level apprentices to $81.46 per hour for Journeyman. Wages are determined by union scale as determined in the current collective bargaining agreement.
