Climate Care Mechanical Service is hiring an HVAC Apprentice for union commercial and industrial HVAC service work in California.
This role assists with planned maintenance, inspections, startups, repairs, retrofits, electrical fundamentals, controls basics, documentation, job walks, JHAs, and toolbox talks under supervision.
- Assist with planned maintenance, inspections, startups, repairs, and retrofits.
- Learn electrical fundamentals and controls basics, including VFDs, actuators, and sensors.
- Read prints and submittals and follow written scopes and checklists.
- Write service reports following a standardized format and criteria.
- Support job walks by capturing measurements and photos and helping stage tools and materials.
- Assist with JHAs and toolbox talks under supervision.
Qualified candidates should bring reliability, coachability, a safety-first mindset, clear communication, teamwork, a valid driver's license, insurability, work ethic, and a drive to continuously learn.
The growth path for this role is Apprentice to Journeyman to Lead Technician to Foreman to General Foreman, supported by structured ride-alongs, mentorship, and union apprenticeship hours.
