HVAC Journeyman

Climate Care Mechanical Service is hiring an HVAC Journeyman for union commercial and industrial HVAC service work in California.

This role maintains, diagnoses, repairs, retrofits, replaces, starts up, and commissions commercial and industrial HVAC systems.

• Maintain, diagnose, repair, retrofit, replace, startup, and commission commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and controls issues including boards, VFDs, motors, valves, and sensors.
• Read drawings, submittals, and manuals, mark up minor changes, and provide feedback to the foreman and operations team.
• Execute retrofits and replacements and verify performance against specifications.
• Perform site surveys and job walks to identify parts, labor, materials, and scope for quotes.
• Function as a lead technician on dispatches when assigned and coordinate with dispatch on schedule.
• Communicate scope and status with customers and close jobs with complete documentation.

Qualified candidates should have journeyman credentials per local requirements, strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to read drawings and schematics, CARE for customers and team members, a valid driver's license, clean driving record, insurability, and positive industry representation with customers, manufacturers, sales representatives, and technicians.

The growth path for this role is Journeyman to Lead Technician to Foreman to General Foreman, supported by annual factory trainings.
