Description
The Event Installer Lead/Driver is a team and event management, driving, and customer service position with an emphasis on leadership and accountability. Responsibilities include leading and managing a team of installers, operating box trucks and vans, safely loading and unloading gear, and dropping off/picking up crews to event venues. The Driver will demonstrate safe driving skills, remain customer‑focused, and display a strong work ethic.
Additional duties involve setting and striking drape, furniture, and hardware at event venues, and executing consecutive events.
- Lead and participate in sets and strikes at event venues
- Lead and manage a team of installers
- Deliver and pick‑up gear/crew to event venues
- Prepare for daily scheduled activities both in the warehouse and on‑site
- Load and unload company vehicles at the warehouse and on jobsites
- Complete warehouse tasks after on‑site work is finished
- Deliver outstanding customer service
- Work 0–30+ hours per week based on volume and availability
- Prior customer service–related job experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lead one or more teams of installers and handle the stresses of multi‑job and multi‑crew workdays
- Understanding of hotel/convention docks
- Ability to execute consecutive events while handling associated stresses and challenges
- Positive interaction with team members and customers on a daily basis; open to constructive criticism
- Great attitude and strong customer service skills
- Fluent reading, writing, speaking, and understanding of English
- Professional appearance, reliable transportation, and punctuality
- Problem‑solving and prioritizing skills on jobsites
- Handling team dynamics and customer service issues on a daily basis
- Workload varies from 0–30+ hours per week based on volume and availability

- Prior Box Truck / Van driving background and ability to drive Quest light‑duty vans
- Pass Quest‑generated written and practical driving tests
- Submit to an annual driving record review (no DUIs, etc.)
- Must pass a DOT physical and drug test; written and practical driving tests
- Must be able to drive all company vehicles, including medium‑duty trucks (e.g., 16′ box truck)
Job Requirements
- Ability to repeatedly lift 62 lbs and work on a step ladder without exceeding maximum weight allowance
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Problem‑solve and prioritize needs while on jobsites
- Perform simple math calculations and think logically
- Analyze information and perform needed actions to fulfill duties
- Handle traffic stress, team dynamics, and customer service issues daily
Salary: $23 - $28 per Hour
