What’s the Job?

As a Fleet Maintenance Fueler Washer at Penske, you will ensure vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and safe before they hit the road. You will greet customers and provide a positive experience.

Location:

751 Sandoval Way, Hayward, CA 94544.

• Greeting customers and ensuring they have a great experience as you fuel and wash vehicles.
• Performing vehicle readiness inspections to verify tires, fluids, and basic maintenance items.
• Maintaining clean, safe facilities for customers and associates.
• Building skills through training and coaching to perform minor repairs such as installing mounted tires, rotating tires, and preventive maintenance.

• High school diploma, equivalent, or prior work experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Ability and willingness to work outside.
• Basic mechanical ability and tool usage (preferred).
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by Penske management.
• Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper tool and PPE use.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance.
• Ability to maintain a current driver qualification file as required by DOT regulations, including an annual MVR check, DOT Physical, Safety Performance History records, and CDL holders passing a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start.
• Willingness to work the required schedule, complete background screening, drug screen and physical, and potential travel within a near geography for training.

• Move frequently; stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
• Use hands routinely to grasp, reach, operate tools or controls.
• Work safely at heights with ladders and elevated platforms.
• Work safely in all weather conditions.
• See and hear to safely navigate a workplace with large trucks.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg regularly; occasionally up to 100 lbs/45 kg and push/pull truck tires that exceed 100 lbs.

Tuesday-Thursday 2:30 pm-11 pm, Friday 12 pm-8:30 pm, Saturday 7 am-3:30 pm.
