Salary

$135,000 - $150,000 + 15% Team Achievement Bonus

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead and manage the Delivery & Service Department, establishing a high‑performing team through recruitment, hiring, and retention.
  • Ensure team members have the tools, resources, and support needed for success.
  • Provide formal training, ongoing coaching, performance appraisals, and evidence‑based compensation recommendations.
  • Address employee relations matters professionally, maintaining company policy adherence.
  • Support team members to ensure operational continuity.
  • Develop and implement departmental plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in mandatory annual Leadership & Development training.
  • Conduct safety briefings, team meetings, and quarterly performance reviews.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as directed by management.
  • Complete annual performance evaluations for all drivers and staff.
Reporting & Budget
  • Prepare and submit the annual department budget to the Director of Supply Chain.
  • Review and authorize all departmental payroll submissions.
  • Analyze cost statements, identify inefficiencies, and implement cost containment strategies.
  • Audit and approve all invoices from the vehicle leasing company.
  • Oversee fleet performance management, ensuring preventive maintenance schedules are met.
  • Generate comprehensive reports, including backhaul analysis and weekly KPI summaries.
  • Conduct monthly Comdata audits to ensure fuel compliance and cost control.
Routing, Scheduling, and DOT Compliance
  • Develop, review, and optimize driver schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Analyze vehicle and driver assignments to identify consolidation opportunities.
  • Prepare schedule change recommendations and submit data analyses to the WRC Transportation team.
  • Conduct route analysis to identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Verify driver compliance with company and DOT standards through observations and audits.
  • Monitor delivery accuracy, reducing mis‑deliveries through corrective strategies.
  • Track driver hours of service via People Net to ensure DOT compliance.
  • Review drive camera footage for safety and compliance.
  • Maintain driver logs and required documentation.
  • Oversee maintenance and accuracy of driver qualification files.
  • Execute dynamic routing for optimal fleet operations.
  • Coordinate operational and transportation audits throughout the fiscal year.
  • Maintain fleet appearance and operational standards.
Customer Service
  • Build professional relationships with franchisees, store managers, leasing representatives, and stake holders.
  • Guide Delivery & Service team on customer relations protocols.
  • Respond promptly to customer complaints via the Slice of Pie system.
  • Participate on the Transportation Advisory Board as assigned.
  • Conduct site assessments at new store locations and report findings.
  • Operate company commercial vehicles or straight trucks for deliveries or fleet maintenance as needed.
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2‑year degree or equivalent professional work experience required.
Professional Experience
  • Minimum 3‑5 years of progressive Transportation and Logistics experience with operational management success.
  • Minimum 3‑5 years of supervisory or management experience with proven team leadership and achievement of organizational goals.
  • Documented track record in transportation operations, fleet management, and logistics functions.
Technical and Regulatory Knowledge
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and safety standards.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Expertise in fleet management systems and routing optimization.
Professional Competencies
  • Results‑oriented with exceptional organizational, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent people management and team leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder relationships.
Operational Requirements
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class

    A) required; or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Full‑time availability with flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Support 24‑hour operations and maintain emergency on‑call status as required.
  • Must successfully complete background checks every third year on employment anniversary date.
