CLASS B DRIVER

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable Class B Driver for a direct hire opportunity based in Hayward, CA. This role supports daily deliveries of finished aluminum products that have been cut to size for customers throughout the same general delivery area.

This is a strong opportunity for a CDL driver who enjoys consistent routes, daytime hours, and hands-on delivery work in the metals and minerals industry.

The ideal candidate has experience operating flatbed or stake bed trucks, understands DOT safety standards, and takes pride in safe driving, accurate deliveries, and professional customer service.

• Deliver finished aluminum products to customers throughout the assigned local delivery area.
• Operate a flatbed or stake bed truck safely, professionally, and in compliance with DOT requirements.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Secure loads properly and verify materials before delivery.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and communicate any route, load, or customer issues.
• Support safe, efficient daily delivery operations until all scheduled deliveries are complete.

• Pay: $24 per hour.
• Annual compensation listed: $56,160 per year.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, or until all deliveries are complete.
• Occasional overtime may be required depending on the daily load.

• Make daily local deliveries of finished aluminum products.
• Operate flatbed or stake bed delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Complete routes and deliveries accurately within the assigned service area.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant commercial driving experience preferred.
• Valid CDL required, with recruiter notes specifying Class A driver’s license.
• Must have a clean and current DOT medical card.
• Experience with flatbed or stake bed trucks is strongly relevant to the role.
• Ability to operate a 16 to 25 foot flatbed truck with air brakes.
• Must understand safe load handling, securement, and delivery procedures.
• Must be dependable, safety-focused, punctual, and customer-service oriented.
• Must pass a background check upon offer.

• Flatbed experience listed on the resume.
• Experience delivering metal, aluminum, building materials, or similar industrial products.
• Familiarity with local Bay Area delivery routes.
• Prior experience with air brake-equipped delivery vehicles.
