Job Description
Overview: Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company’s success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards.
Position Details- Schedule:
Sunday - Thursday - Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM (or until work is complete)
- Compensation: $20.00 p/h + $0.50 cooler differential + $0.50 night shift differential
- Environment:
Must be able to work in a cooler environment for the entire shift (temperature 35-38°F). Freezer gear provided. - Equipment:
Electric Pallet Jack experience required
The Warehouse Person moves and tracks all inbound, outbound, and stored products within the warehouse. Offloads, stocks, selects, and replenishes products. In this role you will be required to work in a freezer environment; the cooler and freezer environments can range from 36°F (2°C) to
-10°F (-23°C). Freezer jackets are provided.
- Receives all inbound merchandise and locates proper pick locations.
- Restocks, orders, and flow lines to prepare warehouse for order selection.
- Ensures placement of product in sufficient quantities to accommodate routine or special demands.
- Maintains attention to detail in areas including balers, aisles, racking, floors, door pits, and other areas as assigned.
- Transfers merchandise from the receiving area to its appropriate location. Consolidates merchandise into picking containers as necessary.
- Packs products securely in cartons and totes; applies shipping marks cartons/totes with truck run and stop number.
- Ensures safe and efficient movement and tracking of inbound, outbound, and stored products within the warehouse.
- Maintains inventory integrity by adhering to system processes.
- Pulls orders according to sequencing on delivery route/run list.
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Performs end-of-shift tasks such as charging power equipment and verifying completed work.
- Maintains orderly workstation; returns supplies and merchandise to assigned locations.
- Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures per company guidelines. Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience using an electric pallet jack
- Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position
- Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift
- Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves and replenish product from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds, generally up to 60-90 pounds depending on location
- Able to obtain certifications for powered equipment, such as forklift operation
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
$20.00 p/h + $0.50 cooler and $0.50 night shift differential
Note: This is a union-represented position covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Eligible employees receive health and welfare benefits through the Teamsters Managed Health Care Trust, which may include medical, prescription, dental, vision, and life insurance. Pension benefits may be available through the Teamsters Pension Plan, with employer contributions per the agreement. Other qualifying medical coverage may have the option to participate in an annuity plan in lieu of health coverage.
All wages, benefits, and eligibility requirements are governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement and Trust Fund rules.
