The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations including order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, inventory management, material handling, and forklift operation. This role ensures accurate receipt, storage, staging, and shipment of materials while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced warehouse setting while performing physical tasks and operating material handling equipment.
Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to support multiple warehouse functions as business needs require.
- Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment accurately and efficiently.
- Receive, inspect, verify, and stock incoming materials and inventory.
- Load and unload trucks safely using proper material handling procedures.
- Operate sit-down forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required.
- Stage, wrap, label, and prepare materials for shipment.
- Perform inventory transactions, stock replenishment, and inventory organization activities.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Verify received materials against shipping documentation and purchase orders.
- Organize warehouse inventory and ensure materials are stored in designated locations.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, returns processing, and material movement throughout the facility.
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or safety concerns.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Support additional warehouse operations and material handling activities as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months of recent warehouse experience required.
- Minimum of 6 months of recent sit-down forklift experience required.
- Forklift operation experience required.
- Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, or material handling preferred.
- Ability to learn product knowledge and warehouse processes quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to bend, twist, pull, reach, stand, and walk throughout an entire shift.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months of recent warehouse experience required.
- Minimum of 6 months of recent sit-down forklift experience required.
- Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory management, order picking, staging, and material handling preferred.
- Experience working in distribution, warehouse, pipe yard, industrial, or logistics environments preferred.
- Stable work history with demonstrated reliability and minimal employment gaps preferred.
