Material Handler, Forklift Operator
Expected compensation: 31.10 USD Per Hour
Hire Art is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Material Handler (Quality) to support the safe and efficient flow of materials within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the quality team to support production operations by managing material movement, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring materials are delivered safely and efficiently throughout the facility. You’ll help keep warehouse and production activities running smoothly by coordinating material flow, resolving inventory discrepancies, and supporting real-time inventory transactions.
The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As a Material Handler (Quality), You’ll- Support material flow processes within quality-owned production and warehouse areas.
- Use warehouse systems and inventory tools to process material transactions and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Coordinate with quality and production teams to ensure materials are delivered to support manufacturing schedules.
- Monitor and resolve inventory discrepancies through physical verification and system-based investigation.
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to transport materials throughout the facility.
- Support indirect material storage and warehouse organization activities across operational teams.
- Maintain 5S standards and follow all warehouse safety and PPE requirements.
- Help ensure materials and goods are transported, stored, and handled without damage.
- 2+ years of forklift operating experience
- Experience operating warehouse or material handling equipment in manufacturing or warehouse environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet operational deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work collaboratively across logistics, quality, and production teams
- Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and attention to detail
- This role requires safety boots that conform to ASTM F2412/F2413 requirements
- Experience using SAP or other warehouse/inventory management systems
- Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing or production environmentsyl>

This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via Hire Art. It will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to the Hayward, CA area.
