Under the direction of the Director-Child Nutrition or other assigned administrator, perform store keeping work in the operation of the food service section at the Nutrition Services Center; receive, store and assure the delivery of food supplies and equipment to District school sites; oversee the storage, rotation and flow of food supplies and equipment between the Nutrition Services Center and assigned school sites.

Perform store keeping work in the operation of the food service section of the District warehouse; coordinate related warehouse activities; monitor and evaluate daily store keeping activities and procedures and modify as appropriate.

Receive, store and assure the delivery of food supplies and equipment to District school sites; coordinate supply and equipment transactions with shipping and receiving; check deliveries against shipping papers, requisitions and purchase orders and sign for receipt; restock Nutrition Services Center shelves.

Oversee the storage, rotation and flow of food supplies and equipment between the Nutrition Services Center and assigned school sites; assure bulk orders and non-bulk orders are filled according to established time lines; initiate purchase requisitions as directed.

Operate a variety of warehouse equipment including manual and electric floor jacks, refrigeration units and forklifts; arrange for the repair and maintenance of warehouse equipment as necessary; operate a vehicle to conduct work.

Communicate with Child Nutrition, other District personnel and outside agencies to exchange information and resolve issues or concerns related to shipping and receiving irregularities, equipment maintenance and repair, order discrepancies and assigned activities.

Prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports related to shipping, receiving and assigned activities; process forms, applications and paperwork necessary for the completion of food supply and equipment transactions.

Prepare daily and end of year state commodity inventory.

Train and provide work direction and guidance to assigned personnel.

Perform general housekeeping duties; assist with maintaining the Nutrition Services Center inventory in a clean and orderly condition.

Initiate follow‑up telephone calls and check with vendors for late shipments, delivery errors, broken or damaged materials and similar errors.
