Overview

The Kentucky River Region Clinic Administrator is responsible for the on-going development, management and implementation of existing and future components of the Ambulatory services programs and ensures quality outcomes on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop and implement overall goals of Ambulatory Services.
  • Responsible for leadership of Physician Services.
  • Resolves conflicts between groups and individuals.
  • Analyzes and evaluates goals and objectives, budgets, financial strategies, and operating functions for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Assists in the financial review of medical practices to promote high-quality medical care.
  • Supports DNV standards and other licensure requirements.
  • Assists the Medical Staff in ensuring that all evaluation and utilization review functions are performed.
  • Calculates physician settlements quarterly according to contract requirements.
  • Prepares the Ambulatory Services monthly operations book.
  • Reviews financial statements, accounts receivable, operational performance, and financial analyses.
  • Prepares financial statements and proposed adjustments for submission to the Corporate Fiscal Department.
  • Develops and implements business plans as needed.
  • Completes and submits reports in a timely manner as required and requested.
  • Monitors and promotes improvements in outcome measurements.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.
Education
  • Master's Degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a healthcare leadership position required.
  • Travel required as necessary, including occasional overnight stays.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
  • Ability to plan and develop overall goals for Ambulatory Services.
  • Ability to calculate physician settlements in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Ability to lead clinic managers and administrators in developing best practices and continuing education initiatives.
  • Ability to review Ambulatory Services financial statements, accounts receivable, operational reports, and financial analyses.
  • Ability to prepare and present a variety of reports related to Ambulatory Services operations.
  • Ability to keep the Administrator of Ambulatory Services informed of departmental activities and operational performance.
  • Strong leadership, financial management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze operational and financial data and implement process improvements.
Physical Requirements
  • Must possess the physical ability to endure prolonged sitting.
  • Must be able to perform moderate walking, lifting, and carrying.
  • Ability to exert up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally.
  • Ability to exert up to ten (10) pounds of force frequently.
  • Ability to exert a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Requires the ability to perform extensive typing.
  • Physical demand requirements exceed those for sedentary work.
