Responsible for coordinating with providers to obtain orders and schedule patients for Cardiovascular imaging studies plete benefits review to ensure the study has been pre-authorized by the payer.

Cardio Vascular Imaging Scheduling for Medical Mall Imaging Center

• Take calls/fax/emails from providers asking to schedule cardiac exams.
• Verify prior authorization
• Verify patient insurance eligibility
• Enter documentation and authorization into the EMR
• Document and communicate with clinical staff, physicians, administrators and patients regarding issues and discrepancies.
• Coordinates rescheduling with patient and provider
• Call and confirm patients’ appointments and explain procedure and give opportunity for the patient to ask questions.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 1 year of patient access experience.
• Meditech training is preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Ability to navigate Meditech scheduling module and EMR
• Communication skills
• Maintain professional attitude

• Ability to set for extended periods of time to utilize the computer workstation
• Light physical demands Moderate Energy level Lift and Carry 25lbs
• Performs other duties as assigned
