Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician at Holiday Inn in Hazard, Kentucky is responsible for maintaining the physical aspects of our hospitality and restaurant properties. This is a full-time, individual contributor role that offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with the property management team to ensure the safety and functionality of our facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily inspections of properties to identify any maintenance needs
• Effectively troubleshoot and repair any electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other mechanical issues
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, painting, and cleaning
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs
• Communicate with property management team regarding any potential safety hazards or maintenance concerns
• Coordinate and oversee any contracted maintenance work
• Respond promptly to guest and staff requests for maintenance assistance
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards
• Keep inventory of maintenance supplies and materials and make necessary purchases as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or restaurant setting
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other mechanical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance problems
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Physically able to perform manual labor, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in outdoor conditions as needed
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
