2nd shift Custodian

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable custodian to join our team at Perry Co Central High School for the 2nd shift. This full-time position is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

• - Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• - Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• - Maintain and restock cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
• - Assist with set-up and take-down of furniture and equipment for school events, meetings, and activities.
• - Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
• - Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies as needed.
• - Collaborate with other custodial staff and school personnel to ensure a cohesive and efficient cleaning operation.
• - Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning tasks.
• - Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

• - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• - Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus, but not required.
• - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• - Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
• - Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, as well as safety practices.
• - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• - Background check and clearance required prior to employment.
