We are seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 13‑week travel assignment in Hazard, Kentucky. • Required
  :
• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current valid RN license compliant with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting preferred.
• Preferred
  : PCCN certification, NIHSS certification, or other relevant certifications.

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; respond to abnormalities.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved nursing protocols, focusing on cardiac care.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac procedures and examinations.
• Maintain awareness of patient comfort and safety needs while monitoring telemetry patients.
• Document nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients.
• Develop and implement patient education plans concerning cardiac health and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Respond to life‑saving situations based on cardiac‑emergency protocols.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned within scope of practice.

• Critical thinking, excellent service orientation, and strong interpersonal communication.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• PC skills to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical abilities: move equipment up to 100 lb, push, pull, bend, and remain stationary as needed.
• Interpersonal skills: collaborate effectively with staff and maintain professionalism.
• Technical skills: fine manipulation for procedures and equipment use.
• Mental resilience to handle pressure, irregular schedules, and detail orientation.
• Sensory requirement: adequate visual acuity and communication capability.
