Travel RN - Psychiatric

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Psychiatric RN for a Behavioral Health House Nurse Coordinator role requiring a minimum of 2 years of psych experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Behavioral Health (Psychiatric) inpatient hospital unit,

• House Nurse Coordinator role with prior charge or manager experience preferred,

• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM on a rotating 36/48-hour, two-week schedule (one week 3x12, the following week 4x12),

• Every other weekend required,

• Floating required within scope of practice,

• Meditech EMR,

Job Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license currently in hand - no exceptions,

• Current AHA BLS and CPI certifications required,

• Minimum 2 years of current psychiatric nursing experience required,

• Prior experience as a House Nurse Coordinator, charge nurse, or nurse manager preferred,

• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,

• Valid driver's license with address matching permanent address required for consideration,

• Two professional references required: at least one charge nurse or higher and one supervisor reference, both completed within the last year,

Additional Information

• Functions as an RN House Nurse Coordinator within the Behavioral Health unit,

• Must be willing and able to commit to the 36/48 rotating schedule - candidates who cannot accept this schedule risk cancellation,

• Up to 7 days of RTO may be considered; RTO must be submitted upfront and no changes will be accepted after submission,

• Must work at least one major or minor holiday per assignment,

• Travelers who have previously worked within this health system must take a minimum 6-month break after one year before returning,

• Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; paired travelers will not be placed on the same shift or unit,

• Orientation runs on a bi-weekly cycle
