Description:

34-bed Step Down/PCU unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5. Meditech EMR system is utilized. Must possess AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications. NIHSS certification required. Float required within scope of practice. Rotating weekend shifts are mandatory. Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated. Orientation is bi-weekly. All facilities work a schedule of 36/48 for the two-week pay period unless indicated otherwise. Ratios may fluctuate with patient census and staffing needs.

Interdisciplinary support is available, including respiratory services and pharmacy. The unit accommodates adult and geriatric patient age groups. Required skills include managing cardiac telemetry, central line care, and post-operative care. Professional references are required from supervisors and charge nurses within the last year. Patient diagnoses include a range of complexities. Compliance with COVID-19 vaccine policies is required. Candidates must provide up-to-date certifications for submission.

Background check issues must be disclosed in advance. Applicants must be willing to accept the specified schedule. RTO requests must be presented upfront and cannot be changed once submitted.
