High School Math Teacher

Math Teacher | FTE 1.0

Fiscal School Year:

• 10 months, Full-time.
• Unaffiliated Salary Schedule.
• Reports to:
  
  Building Principal.

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement(s).
• Must be Highly Qualified in Math (EX).
• Demonstrates teaching, leadership, and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must meet No Child Left Behind (NCLB) standards.
• Demonstrates ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning.

• Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities.
• Create a positive educational climate for students to learn in.
• Provide grades and administer assessments timely.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Provide ongoing communication to parents on student progress and classroom activities.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures.
• Engage students in the learning process and differentiate as needed.
• Other duties as directed.
