Position: Middle/High School MTSS Teacher

FTE: 1.0

Fiscal School Year:

• 10‑months, Full‑time.
• Unaffiliated Salary Schedule.
• Reports to:
  
  Building Principal.

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement(s).
• Demonstrates teaching and leadership skills, as well as strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must meet No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Standards.
• Demonstrates the ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning: technology integration into the curriculum.

• Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities.
• Create a positive educational climate for students to learn in.
• Provide grades and administer assessments in a timely manner.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Provide ongoing communication to parents on student progress and classroom activities.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures.
• Engage students in the learning process, differentiating as needed.
• Other duties as directed.

Compensation:
In accordance with the HPEA Salary Schedule.
