The Materials Coordinator II plays a more advanced and strategic role compared to the Materials Coordinator I, taking on additional responsibilities related to the coordination and optimization of material flow within the production environment. This role ensures the timely and efficient movement, tracking, and documentation of materials while working closely with multiple departments. The Materials Coordinator II provides oversight on more complex tasks such as process improvements, advanced inventory analysis, and leading small projects.

In addition, this role actively collaborates on inventory strategy, material forecasting, and waste reduction initiatives to ensure that production processes run seamlessly.

The Materials Coordinator II plays a more advanced and strategic role compared to the Materials Coordinator I, taking on additional responsibilities related to the coordination and optimization of material flow within the production environment. This role ensures the timely and efficient movement, tracking, and documentation of materials while working closely with multiple departments. The Materials Coordinator II provides oversight on more complex tasks such as process improvements, advanced inventory analysis, and leading small projects.

In addition, this role actively collaborates on inventory strategy, material forecasting, and waste reduction initiatives to ensure that production processes run seamlessly.

• Coordinate the timely delivery and allocation of materials to production pods, ensuring stock levels are maintained for optimal production flow.
• Lead cross-departmental efforts to streamline material transfer and storage, identifying and resolving bottlenecks in material handling.
• Validate and reconcile complex inbound material transfers, ensuring compliance with production requirements and specifications.
• Oversee regular cycle counts and manage more advanced inventory reconciliation tasks.
• Conduct deeper analysis on inventory discrepancies, collaborating with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve inconsistencies.
• Implement and monitor advanced inventory control measures, ensuring compliance with both internal SOPs and state regulations regarding raw material management.
• Collaborate with production leaders on material forecasting, ensuring that necessary stock is available for current and future production needs.
• Track and evaluate production waste metrics, providing recommendations for process improvements and waste reduction strategies.
• Communicate regularly with management regarding material usage trends, waste patterns, and potential improvements for future production cycles.
• Maintain detailed data on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for material usage, waste, and efficiency, producing advanced reports for senior management.
