Job Duties- Straightens and picks up trash in restrooms, sinks, showers, toilets, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, and surfaces, and replenishes soap and paper products.
- Performs terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms and prepares the room for new occupants and follows isolation procedures in isolation rooms.
- Vacuums carpets, sweeps and mops floors on a routine basis.
- Dusts vents and polishes all furniture in common areas and residents' rooms daily.
- Cleans and polishes fire extinguishers and ice machines weekly.
- Coordinates housekeeping services with other departments.
- Cleans all bathrooms and toilet bowls daily.
- Presents a neat appearance in appropriate dress as required by position, department, and hospital policy.
- Moves furniture and other heavy objects as required.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Less than 1 year of experience working as housing aide
- Ability to interpret and adhere to union policies and procedures.
- Ability to adhere to safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean environment at all times.
- Knowledge of methods of cleaning guest rooms and operation of laundry services.
