We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Part-Time Accounting Specialist
to support our day-to-day accounting operations. This position is approximately
24 hours per week
and is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on role with responsibility across multiple areas of accounting.

The Accounting Specialist will help keep our financial records accurate and current while managing recurring monthly processes, reconciliations, reporting support, and other accounting-related projects. The role offers meaningful ownership and the opportunity to help improve and streamline accounting processes as our business grows.

• Accounts Receivable:Manage receivables for both wholesale/distributor customers and custom winemaking clients. Maintain accurate customer activity and ensure AR transactions are entered into Quick Books Online (QBO) throughout the month.

• Accounts Payable:Process and maintain vendor invoices primarily through , ensuring AP activity is accurately reflected in QBO and kept current throughout the month.

• Bank Reconciliations:Complete monthly reconciliations for four bank accounts across two financial institutions. Review and reconcile activity manually, as bank transactions are not directly integrated with QBO.

• Credit Card Reconciliation:Review monthly credit card activity and supporting receipts submitted through our online expense platform. Reconcile credit card transactions in QBO and investigate discrepancies as needed.

• Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Reconciliations:Reconcile activity across three DTC sales platforms. One platform feeds transaction data into QBO daily, while the remaining platforms require manual reconciliation at month end.

• Sales Tax Support:Compile monthly sales tax information and coordinate with our third-party compliance provider to support timely and accurate filings.

• Wholesale & Reporting Support:Partner with the Wholesale team to maintain and update depletion tracking and other operational reports.

• General Accounting Support:Assist with a variety of recurring accounting tasks, schedules, reporting, and administrative processes that support the overall financial operation.

• Process Improvement:Help identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reduce manual work, strengthen accuracy, and make better use of available technology and systems.

• Additional Projects:Provide support on special projects and other accounting priorities as needed. As the role develops, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and help expand the capabilities of the accounting function.
