Thomas George Estates is a family-owned winery in the Russian River Valley known for handcrafted wines and elevated guest experiences. We are looking for an energetic, hospitality-driven Tasting Room Associate to provide exceptional service while leading wine tastings and hosting estate experiences.
Responsibilities- Host seated wine tastings and private experiences
- Educate guests on Thomas George Estates wines, vineyards, and winemaking
- Create memorable guest experiences that drive wine sales and wine club memberships
- Host experiences including Estate Tastings, Single Vineyard Tastings, Cave Tastings, Brunches, Bocce & Wine, and special events
- Process sales, reservations, and wine club memberships using Commerce7
- Assist with opening/closing duties, stocking wine and retail items, and maintaining a clean, welcoming tasting room
- Support winery events and other hospitality needs as assigned
- Minimum 1 year of winery tasting room or hospitality experience (tasting room experience preferred)
- Current California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification
- Passion for wine and exceptional hospitality
- Strong communication and sales skills
- Comfortable speaking with individuals and groups
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
- Able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Experience with Commerce7 or similar POS systems is a plus
