Farm Crew Member

About the Role

We are seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Farm Crew Member to join our regenerative operation in the heart of Healdsburg. This role is ideal for someone passionate about soil health, biodiversity, and the thoughtful cultivation of flowers and vegetables through regenerative and permaculture principles. You will be involved in every stage of the farming process, from the greenhouse to the field, supporting both our flower and vegetable production.

• Field & Crop Maintenance:
  Execute daily tasks including hand-transplanting, precise weeding, mulching, trellising, and pruning.
• Harvest & Post-Harvest:
  Harvest flowers and vegetables efficiently for various markets, ensuring high quality through proper washing, packing, and cold‑chain management.
• Tractor & Equipment Work:
  Safely operate tractors and implements for bed preparation and field maintenance.
• Greenhouse Management:
  Manage the nursery environment, including seed sowing, thinning, potting up, and meticulous irrigation/temperature control.
• Pest & Disease Control:
  Implement ecological pest management strategies, including gopher trapping and monitoring for disease.
• Infrastructure Support:
  Assist with light construction, irrigation repairs, and general facility upkeep to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
• Regenerative Practices:
  Support soil‑building strategies such as cover cropping and low‑to‑no‑till bed flipping.

• Experience:
  
  1–2 seasons of production farming experience preferred, but a strong work ethic is paramount.
• Physical Stamina:
  Ability to perform strenuous physical labor in all weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.) and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Familiarity with irrigation systems (timers, drip, overhead) and basic tool maintenance is a plus.
• Attitude:
  Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a small, fast‑paced team.
• Language:
  Conversational Spanish is highly valued but not required.

• $25–$30/hr commensurate with experience.
