Entry Level Automotive Detailer
The Automotive Detailer is responsible for cleaning, detailing, and maintaining new and used vehicles to dealership standards. This position plays an important role in preparing vehicles for customer delivery, showroom presentation, inventory photos, and resale. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Thoroughly wash, dry, vacuum, and clean vehicles inside and out.
- Clean and condition carpets, upholstery, dashboards, door panels, and other interior surfaces.
- Clean and polish exterior surfaces, including paint, glass, wheels, and trim.
- Perform waxing, buffing, polishing, and other paint-care services as needed.
- Remove stains, odors, dirt, grease, and other contaminants from vehicle interiors and exteriors.
- Prepare vehicles for customer delivery, including new and pre-owned vehicles.
- Detail trade-ins and used vehicles prior to placing them on the sales lot.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for detailing equipment and supplies.
- Inspect completed vehicles to ensure dealership quality standards are met.
- Follow all manufacturer and dealership procedures for the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Communicate vehicle condition or additional cleaning needs to management or the appropriate department.
- Assist with moving and positioning vehicles throughout the dealership as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting. The employee may be required to lift and move detailing equipment and supplies and work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
Work EnvironmentThe Automotive Detailer works primarily around vehicles in a dealership service, detail, and lot environment. This position may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, water, dust, noise, and vehicle exhaust. Appropriate safety equipment and dealership safety procedures must be followed.
Compensation and BenefitsPay: $15.00 per Hour

Qualifications- Previous automotive detailing, car wash, dealership, or related experience preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual-transmission vehicles, if required by the dealership.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
