Aerospace Assembly & Test Technician

Aerospace Assembly & Test Technician Heath, OH $26.58 - $29.53/Hour Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance We are hiring an Aerospace Assembly & Test Technician in Heath, OH, to support aerospace component assembly, system testing, repair, and modification activities in a defense and aerospace manufacturing environment. This role requires experience with hand tools, mechanical and electrical systems, technical work instructions, and aerospace testing processes, with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Support system repair and modification efforts by assisting in the disassembly and reassembly of aerospace components
- Perform basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate faults and support corrective actions
- Conduct validation and verification testing of systems and components to ensure functionality and compliance
- Fabricate and modify aerospace parts and assemblies according to engineering specifications
- Assist with safe handling and movement of aerospace vehicles, including jacking, towing, and system operation support
- Follow detailed work instructions, safety protocols, and quality standards under supervision
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- 1+ year of experience using hand tools and/or following technical work instructions
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Exposure to mechanical or electrical systems
- Ability to work 2nd/3rd shift schedules
- Willingness to work with beryllium and/or other regulated chemicals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with inspection of parts, components, assemblies, or units
- 1+ year of experience in soldering and component assembly
- 1+ year of experience using handheld and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Experience working under a microscope (precision assembly environment)
