Grocery Key Holder

Overview

Gordon Food Service is a leading family‑operated food service business serving customers nationwide. We are seeking a Grocery Team Leader (Key Holder) to lead our retail operations and develop future leaders.

• Open and close the store.
• Assist with daily store operations and tasks.
• Unload and organize merchandise from delivery trucks and transfer items from stockroom to store.
• Maintain product rotation, food handling, receiving, and product quality.
• Provide exceptional customer service, build relationships, and solve problems.
• Handle cash: bank deposits, give change to cashiers, set up and count registers.
• Help build and train the sales team and supervise associates in their duties.
• Support leadership team in all operations.

• 1‑2 years of retail experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
• Valid driver’s license (strongly preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and above shoulder height.
• Flexible, full‑time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in operating power equipment such as slicers, walk‑ie lifts, and forklifts where applicable.
• Minimum age 18, high school diploma or equivalent.
• Success in pre‑employment background and drug‑screen checks.
• Basic computer skills.
