Job Description

A Medical Assistant has accountability for providing care to patients in an ambulatory clinic setting, caring for patients with acute and chronic needs and communicating clearly with patients through telephone and in‑person interactions.

Full‑time (36 hrs/wk – Tuesday to Thursday 8 AM to 5 PM, Friday 7 AM to 4 PM with Monday off)

As a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Health, you will support our clinical team and help patients receive the best care by engaging with patients, collecting information, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

• Providing Patient Care:
  Under the direction of the clinician, assist the provider in gathering information related to the patient’s visit and condition.
• Effective Communication:
  Communicate clearly with patients via telephone and in‑person interactions.

• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers

• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers; must be obtained prior to start date.
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program, or 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, or current RN/LPN license.

Clinic:
Heber Valley Clinic (Heber City, UT). Weekly hours: 36. Hourly rate: $19.31 – $26.22 (actual rate dependent on experience).
