We are seeking a skilled and motivated Aggregate Plant Mechanic join our team and help maintain the performance, reliability, and safety of our aggregate processing facilities. This hands‑on role is ideal for a mechanic who enjoys solving complex equipment challenges, working with heavy industrial machinery, and making a direct impact on production success.

As an Aggregate Plant Mechanic, you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain crushers, screens, conveyors, and other critical plant equipment. Working closely with operations and plant leadership, you'll help maximize equipment uptime, improve efficiency, and support a safe and productive work environment.

* This is a night shift position and requires the ability to work evenings, nights, and occasional extended hours as business needs dictate.*

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on aggregate processing equipment and plant systems.
  • Diagnose and repair crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, pumps, motors, and other production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and basic electrical systems.
  • Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed.
  • Inspect equipment for wear, potential failures, and safety concerns, recommending repairs and improvements to optimize performance.
  • Replace bearings, belts, idlers, pulleys, rollers, gearboxes, motors, and other plant components.
  • Complete and maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and work orders.
  • Collaborate with plant management and production personnel to schedule repairs and minimize downtime.
  • Follow all lockout/tagout procedures and company safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with plant shutdowns, emergency repairs, and scheduled maintenance outages.
  • Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, company vehicles, and other equipment as required.
  • Support production goals while maintaining quality, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of industrial maintenance, aggregates, mining, asphalt, concrete, construction materials, or heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Experience working with conveyors, crushers, screens, feeders, pumps, and related aggregate processing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, maintenance procedures, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Welding and fabrication experience required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MSHA certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Experience working in quarry, aggregate, mining, or construction materials operations.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and industrial control systems.
  • Mobile equipment maintenance experience.
  • CDL preferred but not required.
