This is an opportunity to build a career in the fiber optic and electrical infrastructure industry while receiving hands‑on training and working alongside experienced Fiber Technicians and Journeymen.
The majority of our fiber work involves OPGW (Optical Ground Wire) fiber splicing, installation, and testing on high‑voltage transmission infrastructure. As an Apprentice Fiber Technician, you will learn the skills and procedures necessary to safely and properly perform OPGW fiber work while developing your technical abilities in the field. You will receive on‑the‑job training in fiber splicing, testing, installation, troubleshooting, fiber documentation, and job‑site safety.
Apprentices will work under the direction of experienced technicians and progressively take on additional responsibilities as their skills and knowledge develop. This is a traveling position, and regular travel is an essential requirement of the job. Apprentice Fiber Technicians must be willing and able to travel to various project locations, often outside of their home area, for extended periods of time.
The position may require overnight stays, extended project assignments, and travel based on current project needs. Applicants must be willing to travel regularly as a condition of employment. We are actively hiring in Heber City, Utah and Austin, Texas, while continuing to expand our team to support growing regional demand.
