NPI Buyer: Launch & Supplier Readiness Lead

Responsibilities

• Monitors the strategic launch list to ensure coverage for newly awarded programs.
• Leads timely completion of tasks in the Supplier Readiness Review (SRR).
• Coordinates with Program Managers to ensure suppliers are identified, updated drawings are communicated timely, RFQ's are managed, and supplier PPAP purchase orders are issued and completed on time.
• Collaborate with sales / estimating teams as required. (supplier pricing, tooling costs, material specifications, MOQ's, etc.)
• Coordinates with the Commodity Managers to ensure preferred suppliers are used and collaborates on presentations to Sourcing Board.
• Coordinates with Supplier Development Engineers to ensure tech reviews are completed as required and selected suppliers are meeting expectations.
• Coordinates with the Corporate Supply Chain Analyst to ensure suppliers are established in the applicable ERP system.
• Presents SRR to plant procurement specialists and materials managers 30 days (as a target) prior to start of production. Owns or delegates open tasks through 30 days post start of production.
• Contributes to the continuous improvement process by identifying areas of improvement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
