We are seeking a CNC Machinist/Programmer with setup experience to join our team! As a CNC Machinist/Programmer, you will be working with a variety of machines and manufacturing equipment as needed and per blueprint or job order specifications. You will be responsible for setting up tools and or tooling for your jobs and for other operators without supervision. You will be making programs for one‑off parts as well as production parts.
You will be modifying existing programs to meet quality and production needs. You will also be repairing and maintaining your equipment as needed, assisting other machinists with larger tasks, and maintaining a safe work environment. The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail, previous experience in setting up and programming CNC vertical machining centers as well as CNC lathes, and the ability to work well with minimal supervision.
- Read blueprints or job orders and make adjustments to equipment as needed, often with precision tools
- Set up jobs and tooling for short and long production runs
- Create CNC programs using Fusion or BobCAD software or conversational programming methods
- Make minor adjustments to programs and recommend possible improvements
- Check final products for accuracy, and make adjustments to machines as needed to ensure the best final product
- Conduct basic maintenance and repairs on equipment in your care
- Ensure production schedules are met
- Previous experience as a CNC machinist or in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience setting up jobs and tooling for CNC machining jobs
- The ability to read blueprints or job orders and make minor adjustments as needed to fulfill requirements
- The ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
Compensation: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
