Regional School District 8 is accepting applications for Full-Time Special Education Paraeducators (multiple positions). The candidates will work individually and with small groups of students to provide academic and guidance throughout the school day. The candidate will also attend classes based on need, as well as provide instruction based on teacher need. The ideal candidate should have good written and oral communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff, as well as enjoy working with students from grades 7-12.
School hours are from 7:15 am- 2:10 pm.
Paraprofessionals will be responsible for providing support for students participating in ESY services. Hiring preference will be given to individuals who are experienced and trained working with the students who will be attending RHAM ESY. Highly Qualified in Accordance with No Child Left Behind (Two Years of College or Para Pro Assessment) required. Remuneration commensurate with the wage schedule.
Regional School District 8 (RHAM) is a high-performing, regionalized secondary school district serving approximately 1,200 students in grades seven through twelve residing in the towns of Hebron, Andover, and Marlborough. The district consists of one middle school and one high school located on a shared campus in Hebron, CT. The district offers rich academic experiences for students through a robust program of studies, as well as a variety of sports, extracurricular activities, and clubs to provide students with a well-rounded education.
