Job SummaryBe a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our Key Bank communities. As a Teller, you provide excellent client service in-person by welcoming both new and existing clients to the Bank and assisting them with their account transactions and servicing needs, including identifying and resolving client servicing issues. Tellers, through conversations with clients, listen to uncover financial needs and transition clients to a banker to have a deeper financial wellness conversation.

- Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact we can have on their day, personally, professionally, and financially.
- Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of teller functions in an in-person branch setting.
- Proactively identifies and resolves client servicing issues, escalating as needed.
- Listens for clues for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations, and appropriately transitions clients to a Banker.
- Assists clients in achieving their financial goals and objectives through the use of financial wellness tools.
- Attends and participates in in-person morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs.
- Follows compliance, audit and security procedures; balances cash drawer within balancing guidelines.
- Reviews and maintains knowledge of product guides, fees, and policies to stay current on offerings.
- Works on Saturdays as directed by management.
- Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities, and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
- Complies with all Key Bank policies and procedures, including acting professionally, ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience (required)
Work Experience- Experience in a client service role (required)
- Experienced in cash handling (required)
- General understanding of PC with Windows-based applications and calculator (required)
- Notary License (preferred)
- Knowledgeable about client accounts and the bank; uses sound judgment with clients and transactions.
- Exhibits strong sales and service skills; presents products and services while proactively educating clients.
- Strong work ethic and high level of integrity.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Manages and maintains client accounts, ensuring accuracy and security.
- Assists clients with updating account information and processing transactions correctly.
- Educates clients on managing finances and promoting financial health.
- Identifies opportunities to discuss financial wellness and guides clients to appropriate resources.
- Accurately and securely processes cash transactions (deposits, withdrawals, balancing cash drawers).
- Ensures accuracy in transactions and maintains organized records.
- Identifies and resolves client servicing issues efficiently.
- Understands and follows banking regulations and security procedures.
- Identifies financial needs and promotes relevant banking products.
- Detects and prevents fraudulent activities.
- Collaborates effectively with teammates to ensure smooth operations.

Physical DemandsConsumer Retail - prolonged standing (5-8 hours per day), frequent use of hands to manipulate and grasp objects, ability to communicate face to face and on the phone with clients, occasional bending and lifting from floor height, frequent forward reach, frequent lifting of 1–10 lbs., occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
Driving RequirementsAbility to occasionally operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license.

Compensation and BenefitsThis position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $18.00 - $23.08 per hour.
Placement within the pay range may differ based on skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation also includes incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
