As an Independent Living Skills Trainer with Project Genesis, Inc., you'll work one‑on‑one with adults living with acquired brain injuries, empowering them to regain essential life skills and achieve greater independence in their homes and communities.

As an Independent Living Skills Trainer, you'll coach and support individuals as they build the practical skills needed to live independently.
Your Responsibilities May Include- Teaching daily living skills such as meal planning, cooking, household organization, and personal routines.
- Assisting with budgeting, money management, and community resources.
- Supporting communication, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
- Encouraging participation in community activities and social engagement.
- Providing supervision and non‑medical support based on individualized service plans.
- Documenting progress and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Celebrating every milestone as individuals achieve greater confidence and independence.
- Compassionate and patient.
- Dependable and organized.
- A strong communicator.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Passionate about helping others achieve their goals.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance.
- Experience supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries:
- Minimum of 2 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year with a bachelor's degree.
Part‑time opportunities available, including:
