Join us for the school year!
North Bullitt High School is searching for three (3) highly motivated and positive team members to assist a certified teacher in providing instruction to groups of students, monitor and report student progress, and enhance overall student performance. Experience working with students, intervention systems, and small groups are strongly desired.
This position will provide assistance for students with special needs. Candidate must be able to attend training for the position. Candidates must meet all qualifications necessary to be hired for the position as instructional assistant.
Position Details
Hours: (2)
Two positions @ 6.5 hours per days / (1) One (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). hours per day
NOTE:
(plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Contract Length: 183 days per year
- 170 student instructional days
- 4 holidays
- 7 planning days
- 2 extended days
Employment Status:
Full-time with benefits
Employment Type: 10-month employee on the classified salary schedule.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Must meet one of the following:
- 48 college semester hours
- An Associate's Degree OR
- High school diploma plus a passing score on the Para educator Assessment Exam.
- Documentation: Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.

Step 0: $16.46
Step 10: $20.26
We value experience! Previous experience working with students, intervention systems, and small-group instruction is strongly desired.
- Experience Credit: New employees may transfer up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.

It is the employee's responsibility to submit the BCPS Verification of Experience form to previous employers.

Salary Formula: Hours per day × Hourly rate = Daily rate Daily rate × Contracted days = Annual salary. Annual salary ÷ Remaining pay periods = Gross biweekly pay
