C-Shift Slitter Operator
The Slitter Operator will be responsible for reading a bill of materials, performing machine set-ups, threading film into the machine, and setting blades to the proper width. This role involves programming the machine for length, speed, and tension, and subsequently taking the product off the machine, stacking it in containers, and sending it to shipping.
Responsibilities- Perform machine set-ups and changeovers.
- Use precise measuring instruments such as calipers and durometers.
- Conduct basic machine troubleshooting.
- Adjust and program machinery.
- Conduct quality control and inspections.
- Utilize HMI screens for machine operation.
- Thread film into the machine.
- Set blades to the proper width.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with machine operation.
- Proficiency in using calipers and other precision tools.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to perform quality checks.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read diagrams.
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, crouch, or twist to troubleshoot machinery.
- Comfortable using a touch screen computer.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in machine operation or manufacturing is preferred but not required.
- Experience with conversion machines is a plus.
- Automotive experience or any previous work experience that requires mechanical aptitude.
- Great attendance and reliability.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. The dress code includes steel toe boots, blue jeans or Cintas pants without holes, and a solid-colored shirt. Shorts are also permitted.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hebron, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
